Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Tour --------"2011 TOURNAMENT DIARY"

Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Tour have put together a tournament diary for 2011 by putting on a number of high profile events for all Irish Cue-Sport Players to compete in.........



These fantastic highly rated tournaments are open to everyone throughout the 32 counties with all events also open to overseas players who are willing to travel which sees the organisers trying to revamp the game of 9-ball pool in Ireland......



Listed below is the tournament dates for 2011 with the organisers still working to secure the right venues to suit these Irish prestigious 9-ball events...NOTE: the organisers will be trying to secure venues in the four provinces for all named tournaments but failing to do so each tournament will still be going ahead under the name set in place but could be played in a different venue.........



FEBRUARY:--------Saturday 26th:
Ulster Open 9-Ball Championships



APRIL: -------- Saturday 16th:
Connaught Open 9-Ball Championships



JUNE: -------- Saturday 25th:
Leinster Open 9-Ball Championships



JULY: -------- 30th:
All Ireland Open 9-Ball Championships
All Ireland Open Under-21 9-Ball Championships



SEPTEMBER: -------- 24th:
Munster Open 9-Ball Championships



NOVEMBER: -------- 26th:
Irish 9-Ball Masters ------ “GRAND-FINALS”



DECEMBER: -------- 10th:
Ireland’s 9-Ball Champion Of Champions PREMIER LEAGUE ------ “GRAND-FINALS”



ALL IRELAND AMERICAN 8-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS:
A date will also be announced shortly for the 2011 All Ireland American 8-Ball Pool Championships........



SOME BRIEF DETAILS:
All tournaments will be played in a “HANDICAP SYSTEM” with each player receiving a playing handicap.............



All venues will be named shortly......



All tournaments will carry ranking points except the Irish 9-Ball Masters and Ireland’s 9-Ball Champion Of Champions PREMIER LEAGUE with both tournaments having a different format..........all points will be rewarded from the ¼-finals onwards of each ranking event.......



Each ranking tournament will have eight seeded players for each tournament.......



All ranking tournaments will be played in a “GROUP” double elimination or round robin format which will be organised to suit the entries at each tournament......



All entry fees for each tournament will be £15 plus £5 registration or 25 euros which sees all entry fees paid out in prize-money with all registrations going towards the running and up keeping of the tour such as newspaper advertising, reports, results and photo’s, the setting up and the up keeping of a website, the organisers expenses and costs for the running of each tournament before and after the event, on the day of the tournament just to mention a few.......



PLAYERS:
These tournaments are open events to any player..........if it happens that any player or players don’t agree with the rules which is set in place by Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour, the organizers has the right to refuse any entry if need be.........

TOURNAMENT ENTRY:
Everyone is reminded that all entries must be pre-entered on or before the Thursday of each event with this date also being the cut-off date for all tournament seeds............players could also have to qualify to get into group format if not entered inside the deadline....

The only way players can enter two of Ireland’s must prestigious 9-ball pool tournaments organised by Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour is from a new playing format introduced by the tour called Ireland’s 9-Ball Qualifying School...........



The following two prestigious 9-ball tournaments which are IRELAND’S 9-BALL CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS “PREMIER LEAGUE” and IRISH 9-BALL MASTERS is about to cue-off under this new format which hopefully will attract more players to the Irish tour with the tour staging events since 2003.........



Ireland’s 9-Ball Qualifying School will be open to any venue throughout the 32 counties of Ireland, north and south of the border who would like to stage these events reguardless how many American pool tables a venue has, with all Qualifying School tournaments controlled by Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour at each venue...............



All winners from Ireland’s 9-Ball Qualifying School taking place in venues throughout the 32 counties will qualify for the “GRAND-FINALS” when all Qualifying School champions will go head to head at the “GRAND-FINALS”............the following dates for the Grand-Finals are as follows.

(a): IRISH 9-BALL MASTERS “GRAND-FINALS” (Saturday 26th November 2011).
(b): IRELAND’S 9-BALL CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS “PREMIER LEAGUE” GRAND-FINALS (Saturday 10th December 2011)...............qualifying tournaments will also be organised by Ireland's American 8 & 9 Ball Pool Tour throughout the 2011 season.......



NOTE:-----Entries are limited for these Qualifying School events and and the tour organisers would like to see venues and players come forward to help promote these high profile events and also try to revamp the 9-ball game in Ireland..................
