just wandering if phenolic tips are allowed on jump/break cues in the irish league

phenolic tips are allowed in all tournaments in ireland.

Where are u based at in ireland?

Hey Guys

he's based in Derry as he mentioned this in a previous thread that he had posted.

Phenolic tips are allowed thus far, but the BCA and most tours now are banning the use of phenolic tips because it was discovered that the phenolic resin used on a majority of the cue tips, is different from that used to make billiard balls and apparently the type of phenolic used on the cue tips had actually been causing minor damage to the cueballs used in tournaments.

Perhaps Gareth or someone could elaborate further on this? smiling smiley
