European Pool Championships 2010
Date: March 19, 2010 11:19PM
The European Pool Championships are currently taking place in Zagreb, Croatia. Apart from the usual 8-Ball, 9-Ball and 14.1 championships, this year the EPBF have added the European 10-Ball Championship. Some of the world's best players including Ralf Souquet, Darren Appleton, Nick van-den-Berg, Niels Feijen, Marcus Chamat, Jasmin Ouschan and Gerda Hofstatter, are taking part.

Good luck to Fred Dinsmore, Ireland's representative at the EPC, who will be competing in 8-Ball, 9-Ball and 10-ball.

18 tables are being streamed live for the 10 days of the championships. It's 20 euro, but the coverage is great.

European Straight Pool Championships 2010
Date: March 20, 2010 06:56PM
There is a new name on the European 14.1 pool trophy. David Alcaide from Spain, won the straight-pool final in Zagreb. The former Mosconi Cup team member, lost his first round match and then battled through the losing side, winning 9 matches to claim the title. Runs of 66 and 59 saw him comfortably beat Artem Koshovj from Ukraine. The Dutch duo of Huidji See and Nick van den Berg took the bronzes.

In the women's event, things were a little more predictable, with last year's finalists Gerda Hofstatter and Jasmin Ouschan making easy progress to the final. It was a nervy affair with Gerda uncharacteristically missing easy chances. In a reverse to last year's result, Austrian star Jasmin Ouschan won the tournament, her fourth European Straight Pool Championship title in six years.

European 10-Ball Pool Championships 2010
Date: March 23, 2010 10:39PM
The inaugural European 10-Ball Championships has produced Ireland's first medal of this EPC. Fred Dinsmore has won Bronze after losing his semi-final to Jouni Tahti of Finland. Tahti was in amazing form, not dropping a single rack in both the semi and final.

The Men's division was won by 34-time European Champion, Ralf Souquet who beat Niels Feijen 7-4.

No change on the Women's side, with Jasmin Ouschan dominating yet again. Will anyone beat her at these championships?

Date: March 27, 2010 11:49PM
Jasmin Ouschan has swept up the European 8-Ball and 9-Ball titles in Zagreb. The young Austrian becomes the first woman to win every event at a European Pool Championships, even more impressive this year with the EPBF adding an extra discipline, 10-ball. Jasmin finished her championships beating fellow countrywoman, Gerda Hofstatter, 7-0 in the 9-ball final.

In the men's events Konstantin Stepanov won the 8-ball with Ralf Souquet following up his 10-Ball win with by taking the 9-ball title.
