2009 Carlsberg Scottish Open 9 Ball Championships - 7 and 8 November 2009

The Scottish American Pool Players Association (SAPPA) are pleased to announce the 2009 Carlsberg Scottish Open 9-Ball Championships which are being held at Styx, Kirkcaldy on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November 2009. This year’s event will once again see the best pool players from Scotland, as well as players from further afield, gather at one of the most popular pool venues in Scotland to fight for part of the £2000 guaranteed prize fund.

The event’s format will be in 2 parts. The first will be a Double Elimination format with races to 8 in the Winners’ Bracket and races to 7 in the Losers’ Bracket until 16 players remain. This is followed by a Single Elimination knockout format that will find the 2009 Carlsberg Scottish Open 9-Ball Champion. The tournament draw will be seeded according to the current SAPPA seeding list for the 2009/10 season.

The entry fee is £40 (£25 for SAPPA Members) and is payable either by PayPal by visiting www.scottish9ball.com/scottish, or by cheque, made payable to “SAPPA” and sent to:-

2009 SCOTTISH OPEN 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
EVENT DETAILS

The draw will be made at 11am on Saturday 7th November with play due to start at 11:30am.
In the first, Double Elimination, phase matches will be races to 8 in the Winners’ Bracket and races to 7 in the Losers’ Bracket. In the Single Elimination phase, matches will be races to 9 in the last 16 and quarter finals, race to 10 in the semi finals and the final will be a race to 11.
Rack your own with the one-ball on the spot and the 2-ball at the back of the rack.

Winner: £750 + Scottish Championship Trophy
Runner Up: £350
Losing Semi Finalists: £130
Losing Quarter Finalists: £80
Losing Last 16: £40
