Hi sheao,

Welcome to IrishPool.com. Are you interested in playing 9-ball or "Reds and Yellows"?

There is a great event coming up in Cork, The 2008 All Ireland American 8-Ball Championship (Handicap). It will take place on Saturday 1st November 2008 at The Mardyke Entertainment Complex, Sheares Street, Cork.

To enter, or for more info, contact Ronnie Boyle on (0044) 7918787147 or email him at irelandsamericancuesports@yahoo.co.uk.

I would'nt mind playing both but i mainly practice at home with reds and yellows. I have heard of the irish pool association before and i was wondering is there anyone from around the Cork area that i could get onto. That event sounds great! Not certain would i be able to go to it though. Is there a deadline for entries?

The All Ireland American 8-Ball Championship is run by Ireland's American 8-Ball and 9-Ball Tour. Entry is easy and straight forward. Simply call Ronnie Boyle before 7-pm on Thursday 30th October, and then pay your 35euro at the event itself.

You mentioned The Irish Pool Association. They are associated with the 'Reds and Yellows' game. For their contact details, click [www.irishpoolassociation.ie]

Age is of no concern, this is an open event like most events on the tour and is open to any age group.
