Paddy at French Eurotour
Date: February 22, 2008 09:03AM
For anyone who's interested Paddy had a good day 1 in the Paris open Eurotour event, beating Ralph Eckert in his first match 10-3. He then went on to win his second match keeping him in the winners side of the brackets.
Paddy's next match is at 13.30 today (fri) against top swiss player Dimitri Jungo.

Cheers for the update Gary. Paddy's done well today too, winning that game against Jungo, he's now playing Souqet, latest score 1-1...

Well done Paddy, great result. I was in Belgium at and International at the same time, finished 2nd in 8 Ball and joint 3rd in 9 Ball, first event since I have laser eye surgery so I was pretty happy with this. So we both had a good weekend smiling smiley

Ta Paddy

No it wasnt sore to get done at all just a bit strange. I had LASEK which is the more difficult one and it was sore for couple of hours after about 4 hours but that wasnt long and had contact lense "bandages" in for 3 days. Recovery time is also slower than LASIK and I couldnt practice before going as up to a few days before had slight double vision on the second eye (my right which I obviously use for playing) but it is really good and will continue to improve for a few months. Professor OKeeffe in Mater Private did it for me and he is amazing, he does both eyes seperately just in case also. I would be careful where getting it done as I have heard some bad experiences but he is incredible, certainly the best in Ireland.
