Hi Ronnie.

I happen to be in Dublin that saturday and if possible, would like to play in the competition. But it will depend on times due to prior arrangements. Can you hazard a guess at the following:

Tournament start time?
How many tables will be in operation?
How many players?
Approx finish time?

Thanks
Padraic

Hi Padric,

I'll try and answer the following which you have asked me in the above post.

(1). The tournament wll start at 11am on Saturday 25th June....(you must pre enter).

(2). Everyone will be playing at the one time (race to 6racks, winner breaking).......as there is 16 tables in the Hotel venue.

(3). Its only limited to 20 players on a first come, first served basis....(4 x groups of 5).

(4). Finishing time, format, ect, read below:

Each player plays 4 games race to 6, so there will be 10 matches in each group, starting at 11am......(give 1hour for every 2 games in each group on two tables).....this would bring you up to 3pm....

The winner & runner-up goes into the 1/4-finals starting at 3.15pm......(race to 7racks winner breaking).......followed by the semi-finals & final.......also give each match 1hour which should have us finish at 6-15pm.........

Note:
As im writing this post ive already got 15 entries who has pre entered, which sees four new players in this event...........(tournament closes at 20 players)........"NO EXCEPTIONS"

We're giving all matches 1hour grace, alot of these matches will finish inside the hour.

Congaratulations to Paul Tierney on winning the event! Also well done to Greg who was so close. You boys put up a great final for us to watch.

Also well done to Scotty and Damian for getting to the semis, and for Ronnie on putting on another good event.
